What is it that draws us towards Amber so much?

Is it because it takes a million years and perfect burial conditions for what once was tree sap to become Amber?

Is it the fact that there are 256 different shades of Amber, even blue?

Is it because Amber has been used in jewellery since at least 11,000 BCE?

Or is it because more than 1000 extinct insect species have been discovered to date?

Who knows?! But I know that this beautiful gem is one of my favourites and it's energy is unreal!

Perhaps the most popularly unknown fact about Amber is its electric properties. Amber will produce static energy when rubbed against a cloth, producing sparks and attracting small particles. For this reason, the Greeks gave it the name 'elektron, which has become the word for electricity by today's standards.

The Greeks also thought that Amber was pieces of the sun that had broken off as the sun fell into the sea each night.

It absorbs pain and negative energy, helping to alleviate stress. Amber clears depression, stimulates the intellect and promotes self-confidence and creative self-expression. It encourages decision-making, spontaneity and brings wisdom, balance and patience.

They're made with .925 Sterling Silver and have little a little leaf silhouette cut out of the back.

Your Amber Ring will come in a Jewellery box with a personalised note inside, then wrapped in twine. If this is a gift for someone else then you can leave me a message regarding your order and I can add the name/message of your loved one to the personalised note inside the box.
